At Bradford Health Services, our mission has always been clear: to provide compassionate, high-quality care to individuals and families affected by substance use and mental health disorders. Today, we’re proud to share a new chapter in that mission — one that strengthens our reach and deepens our impact across Texas.
We are excited to announce the addition of three respected treatment programs to the Bradford network: The Last Resort Recovery Center, Crestone Wellness, and The Chapter House. These organizations have built strong reputations for clinical excellence, integrity, and community-based care, and we are honored to welcome them into the Bradford family.
A Shared Commitment to Recovery
Located in Smithville, Texas, The Last Resort offers a full continuum of care for men, including medical detox, residential treatment, partial hospitalization (PHP), and virtual intensive outpatient programs (IOP). Their team is deeply committed to providing individualized care, fostering authentic relationships, and achieving lasting outcomes.
Just north in Taylor, Texas, Crestone Wellness provides medical detox and residential treatment for both men and women, offering a safe space for healing and stabilization at every stage of recovery.
In the Dallas-Fort Worth area, The Chapter House supports men transitioning from primary treatment with extended care and sober living services, ensuring long-term success through structure, accountability, and community.
Together, these programs represent decades of experience, thousands of lives changed, and a shared dedication to doing what’s right for the people we serve.
Growing With Purpose
“This partnership allows us to expand the reach of our mission and do more for the men and women we serve,” said Becky Babb, CEO of The Last Resort. “We’re proud of the work we’ve done in Texas and excited to grow alongside Bradford — a partner who shares our belief in high-integrity, patient-first care.”
That alignment is key. As Rob Marsh, CEO of Bradford Health Services, put it:
“Each of these programs has built a legacy of deep clinical integrity, authentic connection, and strong outcomes. They represent the kind of partners we seek — mission-driven leaders with strong reputations and rooted community impact.”
With this acquisition, Bradford strengthens its presence across Central and North Texas — from Richardson to Austin — and adds to a growing portfolio of trusted, regionally grounded providers.
Supporting Local Programs with National Resources
While each program retains its unique identity and local leadership, they now have access to Bradford’s broader clinical leadership, operational support, and long-term recovery infrastructure. This model allows us to preserve what makes these programs special while helping them grow and thrive in an increasingly complex healthcare landscape.
“Our goal is not just growth for growth’s sake,” said Christian Chauvet, Partner at Lee Equity Partners, which supports Bradford’s strategic initiatives. “We’re focused on empowering best-in-class operators with the resources they need to deliver quality care. The Last Resort, Crestone, and Chapter House are a perfect fit — they’re respected, proven, and deeply embedded in their communities.”
Building on Momentum
This is the second major acquisition for Bradford in less than a year. It follows the October 2024 integration of Lakeview Health, Stepping Stone Center for Recovery, and Koru Spring, as well as the 2023 acquisition of Vertava Health of Mississippi. Each step brings us closer to our vision of expanding access to high-quality addiction and behavioral health services across the Southeast and beyond.
What This Means for Our Communities
If you’re an individual or family seeking support or a professional looking for trusted referral options in Texas, we’re here for you. These new programs are now part of the Bradford family, backed by our commitment to clinical excellence, integrity, and whole-person care.
We’re excited for what’s ahead and grateful to walk this path alongside such dedicated partners. Together, we will continue to empower recovery, one person at a time.
