Family Program
Chemical Dependency Affects The Entire Family
Addiction is a daunting disease that destroys the physical and mental health of everyone that it touches. This means that it affects both the person inflicted with the disease, as well as their family members and loved ones. Bradford understands this, which is why we have established our Family Program to help the loved ones of people with substance use disorders.
Lead by Recovery Advocate and Bradford Alumni Tim Hilton, Our Family Program teaches what the disease of addiction truly is and how the process of recovery works. Understanding these things will help the family grow a deeper connection with their loved one. This in turn will improve the chances of recovery for their loved one and give them insight on what he/she is going through.
We cover many topics to ensure a complete understanding of the disease of addiction, including:
- Disease of Addiction
- Recovery & Relapse Process
- Treatment Process
- Chemical vs. Codependency
- Enabling/Disabling vs. Helping
- Al-Anon Meetings
- Boundaries
- Healthy Communications
With this multi-day program, family members can help improve their loved ones chance of success along the road to recovery. It is important for family members to understand what is happening with their loved one during the recovery process and our Family Program is a great place to start. Currently we are offering this program via Zoom, and it is free of charge.
